Transforming a Wealth Management Platform
Since 2022, I’ve been a consultant & senior designer with Morgan Stanley. Working closely with business and tech, we've re-designed and introduced new features to a suite of planning and investment tools used by financial advisors for ultra-high net worth clients and institutions.

Optimizing & Improving the Firm Research Experience for Users
In 2024, within the span of 7 months, my team and I completed a research-backed proof-of-concept for Morgan Stanley's internal research and deck creation tool. Used by 75% of advisors and analysts to learn, consume, and share information—the re-design aims to create an efficient workflow that will change the way users collaborate, save, and compile shared resources.

Extending & Evolving a Design System
I was brought onto BlackRock's Aladdin design team to extend their design system across their B2B platform in 2018. I worked with multiple teams and provided guidance on how to implement the DS—all while contributing back to the system.

Equity-based Compensation Integration
As part of Morgan Stanley's UHNW planning tool’s re-design, one of the primary drivers was to build functionality that would allow advisors to include equity-based compensation into a client’s full financial picture. I’m currently leading this effort, with the integration set for a spring ‘25 release.

Retirement & Planning for the Mass Affluent
The Goals Planning System was developed as the firm's answer to external products used for retirement planning. In 2018, I was part of the team to re-design this tool to better suit advisors need for an integrated, intuitive and elegant experience they could share with clients.

Building a Music ‘Zine & Community
In 2012, burgeoning writer, Sean Ryan and I put our minds together and created a digital ‘zine centered around music—HASH Magazine. It gave us an opportunity to spotlight local (and beyond) under-the-radar artists, and was the intersection of everything I love: music, art, and design.
This study is less about a digital product and about how a seemingly tiny seed of an idea and passion project turned into something bigger than I could have ever imagined.
